Many countries face immense challenges, wars, pandemics, famine catastrophes, and climate crisis with persecution and human rights violations causing massive refugee movements. These situations require direct, fast, tangible and sustainable efforts with the help of everyone involved including governments, companies and organizations.
Our goal is to help shape our ONE world, humane and worth living for all its people, regardless of origin, religion, gender, race or culture.
We see development work as a sustainable, social investment, in which all stakeholders come together in a participatory way and on equal footing, with countries and interest groups all assuming responsibility. Social investment is not a gift and should be seen as an opportunity for progress for a country’s people.
MISSION STATEMENT
The YOU Foundation is committed to sustainable development in a rapidly changing society of globalization, pluralization and climate change. The associated social challenges require concrete commitment in order to use the available financial resources effectively and efficiently.
Based on this fact, the Foundation is committed to the poorest of the poor, and through sustainable, country-specific and qualified projects provide education and training, special environmental and agricultural solutions which contribute to the long-term and independent development of countries.

Working Method
The Foundation promotes and implements projects worldwide, which are developed according to need, in a participatory manner with stakeholder groups, and adapted to the conditions, the added value, and the traditional cornerstones of society.
For additional impact, we aim to employ local teams, partners and experts thereby creating local jobs. We purchase all needed project materials and goods locally to support the environment and support local communities. We strive to understand local areas of need, and the required measures and activities and aim for sustainable success.
We work with long-term, trusted teams or on-site partners and develop and implement the projects together, in a participatory and holistic approach with the involved interest, beneficiary and stakeholder groups. Depending on the country, the projects are built to be either self-sustainable or to be taken over by responsible stakeholders. Our aim is to ensure sustainability in the best possible way while strengthening self-responsibility and the feeling of ownership as well as acting in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or Global Goals).
For our corporate collaborations, we support and advise you in your social impact decision making process and find projects that provide synergies with your company’s interests or products. We provide you with innovative ideas and concepts and help you decide which approach is best for you.
Vision
The YOU Foundation – Education for Children in Need upholds the principle „helping people help themselves“ and actively pursues the mandate that every child should have access to education.
Areas of Responsibility
The Foundation promotes socially acceptable and sustainable development work with a special concentration on education. In all of our projects, the main focus is on the following three areas that are also in line with the New Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
We advocate against injustice, promote self-help and concentrate on sustainable development work for the betterment of living conditions and human rights.
